HARDCASTLE MOOR
DRIVEN GROUSE SHOOT
Hardcastle Moor covers approximately 2,000 acres made up of undulating moorland with substantial areas of heather and some bent grassland together with a number of exciting gills. The heather is managed year round to favor optimal grouse habitat.
The Moor has an amazing shoot box which was specifically built for that purpose in the 1850’s. The two log fireplaces pour warmth into the cozy stone structure which allows up to 20 guns and their guests to enjoy a fabulous shoot lunch. The lunches are always beyond expectation and feel more like a fine five course meal than a lunch. Conversation and bonhomie are always part of an enjoyable sit down meal.

Description
The Moor has four lines of stone butts in excellent condition and line of hurdles giving the option for five main drives plus the infamous Harrison’s Gill which will test even the most competent of shots.
LOCATION
Nidderdale in North Yorkshire, UK. Just outside of the beautiful town of Pateley Bridge.

From Manchester Airport: Approximately a two hour drive from the Manchester Airport
From Heathrow Airport: Approximately four hour drive
From London: Train 3.5 hours, Car 4 hours, Helicopter 1.5 hours

AUGUST 12 through DECEMBER 10. Rarely will this shoot go beyond early October to insure quality and integrity of the moor and grouse. Please book early. (Individuals coming from the United States, please note that it is not uncommon to book your shoot a year in advanced.)
COST
Varies on bag limit. Average is $2,200 per day per gun
